Fabricate, a free AI website builder, has added a built-in database explorer for preview builds and a publishing step that verifies an application’s production database schema before deployment.
Anchorage, Alaska, United States, 21st Aug 2026 – Fabricate, a free AI website builder that generates full-stack applications, has released a set of database capabilities for applications generated on its platform. The release adds a built-in database explorer for preview builds and a publishing step that verifies an application’s production database before it is deployed.
Applications generated on the platform are provisioned with a database automatically, and the generated code includes the migrations that define its schema. Until this release, developers could inspect that data only after publishing. The database explorer now lets them browse tables and run queries against an application’s preview database while it is still in development.
The second part of the release changes what happens at publish. Publishing now compares the live production schema against the migrations the application generated, applies any that are missing, and refuses to deploy against a database it cannot verify. A production migration that fails now reports the failure rather than reporting success.
Preview and production databases are also now separated, so a preview build cannot write to the production database backing a published application.
“Generated code is only half of an application. The data underneath it is the other half, and it is the half people are afraid to touch,” said Aaron E. Rushing, Founder of Fabricate. “A developer should be able to look at their tables before they publish, and publishing should never quietly deploy against a schema that does not match the code.”
How the Platform Works
Fabricate converts natural-language descriptions into production-ready applications, generating React and TypeScript front ends, backend APIs, database schemas, and a live deployment URL. Users describe an application in plain English, watch the code generate in real time, and refine it through follow-up conversation. Generated applications run on Cloudflare Workers, with TailwindCSS styling and Vite builds. The platform is available as a free AI website builder that requires no payment method to begin.
Users created 2,222 applications on the platform in the 30 days ending August 18, 2026. The most active build categories over that period included administrative panels, chat applications, job boards, and SaaS dashboards, application types that require a backend service, an authentication layer, and a database rather than a single-page template. Teams building revenue-generating software can review supported integrations, including payment processing, authentication, and database provisioning, on the AI SaaS builder overview.
The database work follows a broader set of platform changes released over the same period. Fabricate moved the product and its marketing site onto a new design system, added daily DNS drift detection for applications published on custom domains, and changed a project’s first build to start on the server, so that it no longer depends on the browser staying connected. Runtime errors from a running application are captured and surfaced back into the conversation that generated it.
Availability and Pricing
The database explorer is available for preview builds on the platform, and database access has been included on the free plan since April 2026. The Fabricate free plan includes 60 monthly credits and one published project. The Pro plan is priced at 25 USD per month and includes 350 monthly credits, private projects, code download, GitHub export, and no watermark. The Scale plan is priced at 50 USD per month and includes 700 monthly credits and dedicated support. New accounts receive a seven-day trial that includes 100 credits.
